The Objectives of the Green Thumb Garden Club of Red Lion are to:
Promote the fine arts of gardening, landscape design,
floral design, and the study of horticulture.
Promote interest in home and civic gardening through public education.
To aid in the protection of bird life and their habitats. And to protect and encourage the use of native plants and wildflowers.
Our club meets the first Monday of the month at 10:30

Our next meeting will be on Monday, October 6th.
We will be having a Member's Garden Chat where members ask other members questions about gardening and share their ideas and recommendations.
Green Thumb Garden Club Members volunteer in several Civic Improvement projects in our community:
Horticulture Therapy at Victorian Villa in Dallastown
Library Lecture Series for Adults at Kreutz Creek Library
Our members maintain many gardens throughout our community:
Red Lion Square Garden, the Native Plants Memorial Garden at Windsor Park, the Blue Star Memorial Garden at the Welcome Center in Shrewsbury, and the gardens under the two Welcome Signs in Red Lion.

🌿 Green Thumb Garden Club Scholarship 🌿
The Green Thumb Garden Club is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to eligible students who meet the following criteria:
✅ Residency: Must be a resident of York County ✅ Education: Must be a graduating senior from a local high school and/or planning to enroll in a higher education program ✅ Field of Study: Must pursue a degree in one of the following areas: Agricultural Education, Agronomy, Biology (excluding medical), Botany, City (Rural/Urban) Planning, Conservation, Environmental Concerns (Environmental Engineering, Conservation, etc.), Floriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Land Management, Landscape Architecture, Plant Pathology, Wildlife Science Application Deadline: March 15
🔁 Renewal Eligibility: Students may apply or reapply annually, provided they: Maintain strong academic performance; Demonstrate financial need; Continue studies in an eligible field
